PERSONAL TRAINING

Marty will cater your workout to your individual needs. Marty’s Fitness Studio offers a variety of equipment including TRX, dumbbells, Air dyne Bike, Water Rower Machine, Slide/skating board, Battle ropes, Kettle bells, plyometric boxes and exercise bands. Martha will keep you excited and interested in your fitness goals and help you see real results. There is also a park behind Marty’s, so there are endless opportunities to keep your workouts fun and challenging.

SMALL GROUP CLASSES

HIIT TRAINING: 45 mins.

High intensity interval training is a great way to burn calories, strengthen and tone muscles and improve your cardiovascular endurance in a short amount of time. This class will incorporate bursts of cardiovascular exercise followed by strength movements. This is a full body, fat burning muscle toning and core strengthening workout.

Advanced beginners, Intermediate.

BUTTS & GUTS: 45 mins.

This class involves mostly mat work to strengthen the Abs/Core and Glutes/Butt. Exercises will include planks, superwoman, one legged bridges, clamshells, stability ball, medicine ball exercises and disc exercises. We will work all the parts of the core and butt.
Beginners, Intermediate.

PURE HIITS CARDIO: 45 mins.

Pure Cardio will be a fast moving class involving circuits of cardio moves like Kettle bell swings, jump rope, jumping jacks, rower, air dyne bike, mountain climbers, battle ropes and step ups. Clients will rotate several times through 5-6 stations. This will be a fat blasting/heart pumping workout, which will make you sweat and reap lots of happy hormone (endorphin) release.

Advanced Beginner, Intermediate.

MARTHA PRAKELT

I began my fitness career 35 years ago in my home state of Vermont and I have been doing personal training, group fitness, and running coaching for 30 years in New York City and Brooklyn. I recently relocated to the Hudson Valley after having a weekend home in the area for over 20 years and I am very excited to have my own fitness studio, in Rosendale New York.

I have been a life long athlete and played little league baseball starting at the age of 10, the first of only four girls to make the boys league. I have also participated in softball, basketball and cross- country running, tennis and skiing throughout my life. In the past many years I have completed numerous marathons, half marathons 5Ks-10Ks and triathlons. I have worked with hundreds of people over my career and have enjoyed helping them meet their various fitness goals in a fun and productive manner.

My career has included working at various fitness clubs in New York City and Brooklyn including the Printing House Fitness Club and Body Elite Fitness. I and have had the privilege of working with people from all walks of life including celebrities, musicians, artists, health professional and prenatal and post natal women.

I believe working out should be fun and I pride myself on challenging my clients to push themselves but to enjoy themselves while doing it. My specialties include strength training, core training, weight loss, muscle toning, HIIT training, TRX, nutrition, cardiovascular training and flexibility. I look forward to helping you meet your fitness goals.

Marty’s Fitness Studio is also the home of my design studio where in my spare time, I rework vintage T-shirts as well as create my own designs to help raise money for various pet rescue groups and social issues.
